Post-trial notes:
We have used a table spoon of this oil each morning, drinking it on an empty stomach to cleanse the system. Unlike cod liver oil, this has no odour, but a mild and pleasant nutty flavour. This is a delicate oil and unlike olive oil, which we also love, would not make you feel as if you’ve ingested a ton of calories at the start of the day. By all means, use it on salads and the like, but drinking on its own is a perfectly palatable way to get your Omega 3 even if you don’t like fish. The fact is, with a build-up of mercury in the oceans, we are not even sure fresh fish is always the better source, anyway.
Pre-trial notes:
Chia seeds have been hailed as the “new” miracle food product that the ancients knew well for its health benefits. The seeds are rich in Omega 3 oils and can be used to thicken soups or desserts. The oil extract itself is an excellent way to get your daily requirement of plant based Omega 3 ALA. Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid, this means it cannot be produced by the body and must be obtained through the foods we eat.
- Mild and pleasant taste, and can be consumed as is
